Cabane în Sri Lanka

"Very welcoming and happy staff. They were so kind and caring. The place was warm and the fire place in the common area was a nice touch (we visited in winter). Everything was explained so well. We loved the pool and onsen! Truly a spa resort! Thanks."

Unfortunately there weren’t enough cots but they ensured when we came back a couple of days later there was one for us. Perhaps a few more cots are needed.

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

În fiecare clipă a șederii mele acolo, s-au preocupat să nu-mi lipsească nimic și să mă simt bine, mi-au facilitat legătura cu barcagiul care mi-a asigurat în fiecare dimineață și în fiecare după-amiază deplasările pe lac, atât pentru fotografii la răsărit și la asfințit, cât și pentru vizitarea satelor situate de jur-împrejurul lacului."

Nu există aspecte negative ale șederii mele în această locație.

"The room was beautiful opening up to a sea view. Could go kayaking from just outside the room. The lodge had kayaks and life jackets available to guests. Could also go fishing or swimming - just idyllic! The staff were also really helpful. I would most definitely stay here again."

It's a very good location. However, due to the fracture of the former vacation place now obviously shared by different owners, the surrounding area has a bit sad appearance. The canteen on the territory does not provide quality food but there are many restaurants to choose nearby.

"Wonderful friendly staff - Marie-Helene and the rest of the staff made us feel totally at home. Delicious freshly cooked food. Super calm and peaceful in beautiful surroundings - a tonic after Dakar and Saint Louis. Relatively accessible for Saloum Delta which we loved. Great air conditioning. Lovely swimming pool"

Water pressure was low at certain times - pipe being repaired, so perhaps temporary. You'll need a car to get around (we got a taxi for 10.000 - 15.000 CFA each way to Ndangane.)

"Nice hostel, a good choice if you are on a budget in Mestia. You can easily meet other trekkers. Quiet place, nice kitchen, clean bathroom with nice shower, big balcony + space outside."

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

"If you want a peaceful, calm and stunning environment, this is the place. It is simple, but has everything you need in a beautiful setting. Perfect for nature lovers who don't want to be on top of other guests."

Was a bit musty smelling, but after being opened up and aired out and a candle or two it was perfect.

"Fantastic location. Great facilities and will be even better shortly with new tents under construction. Excellent meals and extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Take the food and day trip offerings- you won't regret it but stay at least 2 nights to really enjoy the location."

"Zona linistita, aproape de statii de transport in comun, proprietari discreti si foarte ok, cu sistem de check-in si check-out relaxat si usor. Camera mica dar nu incomod de mica, curata si dotata cu cele necesare pentru a putea servi micul dejun in camera. Daca ar fi sa revin cu siguranta as cauta intai disponibilitate aici. Multumesc"

"Poziționarea este fantastica . Ești rupt de realitatea , auzi doar greierii care încetează când apune soarele , de sus din balcon priveliștea îți taie respirația. Piscina Ok, tot complexul este plin de flori , vegetație si pisici drăgălașe. Mâncare atât micul dejun cât si cina foarte bune. Bucătarului nota 10 , tradiționala mâncarea."

Cabanele sunt vechi clar , am trecut cu vederea nu am stat decât 3 zile , dar probabil dacă stai mai mult intri intr o depresie , când te miști pe bacon ai senzația ca se rupe lemnul , scaunele , mobilierul destul de vechi. Dacă nu ești venit cu mașina , ești blocat acolo , pana la plaja cu mașina 10 min , se putea și pe jos dar nu am fost curioasa , pe caldura aia intr o așa vegetație , nu exista nici un magazin in apropiere din care sa ți cumperi ceva , totul de la proprietar de la bar.
