"Well, totally different experience from Riga! This place is AWESOME as the staff. The lady who hosted us did a great and PERFECT job. We place is very well located, alogside the road, close to supermarkets and the castle ruins. The city centre can be acessed by a footpath uphill from the hotel on a pleasant walk. Bedrooms alright, very clean and organized with no problems at all. We liked so much, that we spent more time that we intended on the next city in a Wine Festival in Sabile that we decided to go back and stay one more night and with only 10 Euros more, they gave us an apartment with living room and kitchen. I wuosl easily go back and refer here. One of the best places on the trip! The city is not big and have not that much to visit but satying here, made everything much better and pleasant! And parking is right besides the hotel as well with plenty space and easy to use and access!"

"We celebrated a birthday here and the owner and staff were absolutely lovely, joining in making the evening a memorable one. Rooms were comfortable, clean and the showers were great. Food was delicious. It is a peaceful place which felt like a little gem off the beaten track."

The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to organize all my trips both around town and further afield. They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help with anything. It also meant a lot to know that the funds from the guest house support a school for the local community. The apartment is right in the middle of town, cafés and bakeries are everywhere, the host is extremely accommodating and easy to deal with, the apartment had a great kitchen, large bathroom, comfortable beds, and everything else you could possibly ever want. La micul dejun ar trebui introdus și ceva European cel puțin când aveți cazați din zona respectiva..a fost ok și ce am avut dar parca ne ar fi bucurat ceva mai mult.. La camere ușile nu anticipează bine..am avut niște vecini tineri care se tot mutau de la o camera la alta și făceau gălăgie dar nu a fost decât o noapte..a trecut repede 😁

"The property has a natural look/ design - which I loved - simple but with everything you need. The bed was especially comfortable. And we were right on the beach so slept to the sound of the sea and woke up to drink our morning coffee looking out to the sea. Really comfy beach beds and great service for food and drinks. The staff so friendly and welcoming - a great atmosphere- peaceful, spacious, tranquil. You can walk along the beach to other bars or restaurants with a much more hectic vibe- it always felt like a blessing to return to Happy Corner. We felt very lucky to have found such a place- a slice of paradise!"

The bedroom and bathroom are huge—honestly, it’s one of the most spacious bathrooms I’ve ever seen, and the hydromassage tub was a fantastic bonus! It would be perfect for families . "All was lovely, the food was particularly good and a pleasant surprise after some of the restaurants we had eaten at on our trip. The cottage was great, the linen very good, the swimming pool a great asset."

We would have liked to have been given sandwiches with the tea at 4pm. Slight disappointment!
