"Excellent location. ALL the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Near to the American Memorial Park and if you want to book a tour of Saipan, I can recommend Walt at Discover Saipan. He gave me a superb tour of Saipan and Tinian and can collect from the hotel. Delicious dinner in the Terrace restaurant. Several pools and one of them is large enough to swim lengths and is open till late. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer!"

Prices are very high, but the normal for French Guyana. Kourou is not a city for pedestrians. So, there is no good location - everything is far for a walk. By car, it is really close to the space center.

"During our stay, my wife fell ill. Diagnosed with severe malaria, she was transferred from the over-worked Moroni public hospital to a private clinic (at the hotel’s initiative). Over the next week, the Retaj’s staff treated us both as family and could not have been more helpful."

"Totul la superlativ! Raportul calitate pret este excelent. Camerele sunt curate, se face curatenie zilnic. In fiecare seara se da cu spray de insecte/tantari in camere. Curtea interioara este superba si este la fel de bine ingrijita. Exista 3 piscine mari in incinta. Plaja aferenta complexului este in mare parte din timp curata, iar apa oceanului este linistita si calda. Personalul a fost mereu dragut cu noi si gata sa ne ajute, mai ales ca am ajuns mult mai devreme de ora check-inului si am plecat mult mai tarziu de ora check-outului. Au vestiare si bai speciale pentru aceste situatii, astfel incat turistii sa se poata bucura din plin si de prima/ultima zi de vacanta. Mancarea este relativ ok, insa nu si pentru pretentiosi. Micul dejun nu a variat prea mult. La cina au mai fost variatii, in una din seri am avut mancare cu specific italienesc, in alta seara mancare africana."

"In comparatie cu tot ce am vazut prin oras sejurul nostru a fost excelent! Hotelul se afla in centrul orasului, pe bulevardul principal al orasului. Lucratorii hotelului foarte amabili. Camera noastra a fost de lux, curatenie a fost facuta in toata ziua, la fel au fost schimbate servetele in fiecare zi.Cand am intrat in camera am gasit fructe si apa, a fost placut. Mereu in camera a fost totul pentru ceai sau o cafea ness. Am mancat la dejun in hotel, am fost multumiti. De la aeroport pana la hotel am platit 20 euro si intors la fel. Zice lumea ca se poate mai putin, dar noi am avut taxa de noapte. De la hotel pana la medina este 10 minute de mers, pana la un mal mai modern si curat 5 minute. Din cauza crizei economice din tara(asa cred eu) mai lasam niste dinari oamenilor ce ne au fost de ajutor. In hotel va schimba euro in dinari. Noi am schimbat in aeroport, am pastrat bonul si la intoarcere am putut sa schimbam dinarii in euro."

The area is absolutely manic, the actual car park entrance was difficult to find, bar very limited, staff on bar seemed disinterested until we paid the bill and gave a tip which cheered her up.

The pillow is square, large and uncomfortable. I got a pain in the neck because of it. The coffee in the breakfast buffet was so bad it was undrinkable.

Din păcate personalul,mai ales o doamna în vârstă...La micul dejun...mari emoții sa nu deranjam și mare grija cât mancam. Supărată doamna pe viata și mai ales pe noi,cred. Am fost singurii din restaurant la micul dejun și cu toate astea aveam masa rezervata....aici va așezați. Mic-dejun...doar dulce,aa pardon și 4 bucăți de sunca(eram 4 persoane). Camera destul de întunecată,un singur bec slab în toată camera.

"Mic dejunul continental a fost bun pe partea de fructe/patiserie/cafea dar ar fi trebuit sa fie mai variat la partea de startere, branzeturi, antreuri calde (amous-bouche)."

Una din turele de personal nu a fost foarte amabila si atenta, restul turelor de personal au fost foarte ok si amabile. Micdejul ar fi putu fi mai variat asa cum am mentionat si la punctul anterior.

Daca nu esti rapid la micul dejun, ramai flamand...

"+ Very friendly and helpful staff! Always smiling and polite. Breakfast is great value. Location is perfect for me. I very much enjoyed the swimming pool and there's a small gym too. I have stayed there 3 x."

Some of the bathrooms should be renovated, one leaked water even to the mainroom, which was dangerous. Even others have humidity damages and small cockroaches. I was twice bitten by insects during the night, probably bedbugs or ants, and had to ask the staff to spray my room again. Some of the sheets are obviously not pure cotton and itchy.

The AC and the Fridge in our room were not working but immediately we reported, they were fixed.

"Eleganta hotelului, mancarea diversificata si f buna cu multe sucuri naturale si nu numai, curatenia exemplara dar mai ales orientarea catre client.Am simtit intr-adevar calitatea serviciilor exceptionale ale unui hotel de 5 stele. Facilitatile f bune, am folosit sala, sauna si piscina interioara. Personalul mereu dornic sa te ajute,sa se asigure ca te simti minunat."

Dimineata la micul dejun tindea sa fie putin aglomerat insa personalul te lua imediat cum se elibera o masa, deci timpii de asteptare erau destul de mici. Idem la piscina care desi nu e atat de mare pentru un hotel de 5 stele, e f cocheta si compenseaza cu frumusetea arhitecturii.

"The room and around fit to the explanation and pictures. Breakfast was basic and tasty. We came in October when season is over. The owner cook a dinner for us. It was quite expensive (30 euro par person taking a fish, 15 - with no fish), but tasty. Wine was exceptional. It was better then drive in the dark to the restaurant and back (the road is not easy even during the daylight). Adrian made the welcome. Very nice guy with good English. The owner, Vasko (sorry if a spell the name wrongly) is very nice guy. Able to speak Russian. Show us the winery. The wine is exceptional. Very quite place. The views are stunning."

The only one thing was not OK - in one of the rooms (we took 2) water in the shower drains poorly - floor was full of water.

"Chiar de la sosire pesonalul a avut o atitudine impecabila! Am fost primit foarte bine, am comunicat excelent si m-am simtit incantat si bucuros ca am ales Finlandia Park Hotel! Pe parcursul sejurului atmosfera a fost una foarte buna si am avut parte de indicatii si sugestii foarte bune pt vizitarea orasului Helsinki! Cu siguranta recomand aceasta locatie, iar cand voi mai reveni la Helsinki voi alege tot Finlandia Park Hotel"

Poate ca nu ar strica putin mai multa diversitate la mancarea de la micul dejun !

Mobilier putin cam vechi. Am cerut la receptie un adaptor pentru priza si ni s a dat unul singur. Sistemul de ventilatie in restaurant ar trebui imbunatatit.

Personal amabil si binevoitor, cu sfaturi corecte pentru a ne descurca prin Amsterdam, in ce priveste mijloacele de transport si traseele optime pentru obiectivele de interes pentru noi."

Recomandarea, ca locatie de servit masa, a localului Cafe Kale. Sub asteptari si recomandari: murdar, personal nesimtit si mancare care nu face banii.

"it’s clean, convenient, shirt walking distance to interesting spots in town, nice swimming pool and views, comfortable bedding, very nice staff"

this could be improved: -the beach has a lot of potential, buiding a nice peer with stairs for a sea swim would make it much better -there isnt enough shade in the garden and the sun is punishing -the trees on the beach have fruits that hurt when falling, as part of garden maintenance they should be shuffled to drop the fruits upfront -the restaurant options both for breakfast, meals and snacks, leaves out a lot of the good things of Sao Tome. Look at your competitor Riu, for instance, they always have a section with local treats

"The staff are wonderful and very consistent of disability. The restaurant is excellent with a large menu and reasonable prices. The Indian food is especially good. The surroundings are stunning. There is a farmers market there one Saturday a month"

"Food was ok, the staff was amazing and made you feel extremely welcome, this was the first time staying at this hotel, and I have just re-booked for next year. The hotel was quite, but had it lively time with live music. Enjoyed myself so much. Breakfast was lovely and so was dinner."

The lighting in the room could have been better.
