"Sebastian, the owner was incredibly helpful and quite funny. He picked us up from the airport (30 euros) and dropped us off for the minibus to Atar (250 local). I stayed in the bungalows. I particularly liked the 3 singles bungalow. Lovely beds. Plenty of areas to relax. Ample Included breakfast (French style). Great value for money. The restaurant menu was excellent with a whole page of vegetarian choices. Hot showers Great atmosphere, full.of interesting travellers."
"We got at the end of a group queue for the 2 showers for the top floor accommodation. Groups regularly stay. I would suggest a labelled bin for toilet paper to be put in. People were adding all manner of things to the bin. Or better still label it and put it in the bathroom. Some of the staff seemed quite shy and had to be found to provide help. Btw Mosquitoes are rife so bring repellent. None of these points altered my opinion of how much I enjoyed my stay."

"We arrived after a long journey from the Western Sahara–Mauritania border and were relieved to reach the guesthouse. Although our initial arrival felt a little unwelcome due to the host attending a large group, the service we later received genuinely shaped the course of our entire trip. The real strength of Auberge Triskell is Sebastian’s extraordinary knowledge of Mauritania. He is like an encyclopaedia of the country, with trusted contacts, recommendations and guidance for every notable destination, as well as details on transport timings, road conditions and logistics. His free online guide became our main reference throughout our journey, and the WhatsApp group he created allows guests to ask questions at any time and receive rapid, reliable advice. He even served us dinner despite telling us we had arrived too late, which we greatly appreciated. The accommodation itself is far above the national standard and offers excellent value."
"Our initial welcome felt a little impersonal as the host was busy with a large party of guests, which gave us a slightly uneasy first impression. At times the hospitality felt like a bit of a rollercoaster, though the overall experience more than compensated for it."
