Dar Yakout

"This was a great place to stay. Located high up in Chefchaouen, Dar Yakout is a really nice, welcoming riad. The room was nicely fitted out and very spacious. Breakfast was really nice and copious, served on the top floor terrace with a nice view over Chefchaouen. The staff were really friendly and helpful, even providing us with a room for the entire day on the day we left (one of us was not feeling well and they let us sleep all day in a spare room). We were very grateful for the care and assistance provided by the staff. The dar closed after we left to undergo a fill refit over a period of three months. We wish them well and a successful re-opening in April."

"Some noise from random wild dogs but in fairness an issue to the area not the hotel. Not a location for those who struggle with fitness as a hard climb with travel bags. Toilet smelt weird."

"The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is incredible! So tasty and a beautiful area to sit and enjoy it. We loved the design of the Riad, it is very authentic and the details around the property really add to the experience."

"The property is absolutely stunning. Perfect in every way. Beautifully furnished, centrally located, easy to access, spacious, warm (during winter), clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, kind and helpful. The outside of Dar Yakout is like an Instagrammer’s dream, so pretty and photogenic. The breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace that has sweeping views of Chefchaouene. We thought we’d need a local tour guide, but it was really easy to navigate to everything, that we just used google maps, with Dar Yakout as our starting point. I highly recommend Dar Yakout."

"We did request a kettle for our room, so we could boil water, and the staff were quick to support our request. It really is a perfect place."

"Lovely property. Beautifully decorated. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped with fridge, kettle, hairdryer etc. bathrooms are modern and clean. The roof terrace has views of the town and mountains and is a great place for a breezy breakfast or to sit and relax at night. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. All the staff we met were fantastic-kind, friendly and very helpful. A fabulous place to stay."
