"Fantastic views from the balcony. The room seemed very new - even the shower was very fancy :) Breakfast at the balcony in the morning with the amazing views before us was incredible. During night time, it was possible to see the fireflies from the balcony, and in the morning, birds. The host was very kind too and was present in case we had any questions."

"The view, breakfast and location stand out. The mornings were the best. The walk to town is up and down and not well lit, but it is close enough that it was convenient, far enough it is quiet. I got to see some fireflies at night and the sunrise on Ella Rock is beautiful. Hope to return one day. The host is also incredibly kind and helpful. He deserves a special shoutout too."

"The insects. Bug spray on the balcony is requires, though he did give me a coil which helped. Given the cabin like setting and structure, inevitably some insects make it inside, though there is mosquito netting which really helped."

"The room is even prettier in real life. Its very huge and the interior is clean and practical. The terrace is also very big and the the view is truly spectacular. Generally its really quiet! You just have to walk a very pretty way to the town center. We would definitely recommend it if you want to have a nice stay a bit Off the busy center"

"The view from my balcony was fabulous (see pic) and the facilities are good, considering this is a only a modestly priced place. The breakfast was excellent. The proprietor, Chinthaka also owns a tuktuk, so he can take you into Ella town if you need. As a bonus, after returning from dinner in Ella town, there were fireflies flickering in front of my balcony."

And having breakfast brought to our balcony every morning felt so special - it honestly exceeded our expectations and made our stay unforgettable. "One night we slept with all the windows closed, and in the morning we noticed that the clothes in our suitcase felt damp. We’re not sure why this happened - maybe it was a ventilation issue. Also, just a heads-up: getting to the room involves a fair number of steps. It could be challenging if you have an injury or mobility issues, but it wasn’t a problem for us."

"The view was amazing. Danuka was a great host. He organised a beautiful rich breakfast every morning on time. The beds had mosquito nets. It was cute to see all the wildlife around you as you sit on the terrasse. It was not in the town centre, but only a 15 min walk."

"The building itself looked unfinished, maybe it is still work in progress. It would have been great to be able to open the bathroom window to air the room, but there were no mosquito screens (and the window was too high up for me). Maybe a shampoo in the shower would be a nice touch. But overall it was good value for money and service was great."
