"I stayed in the hotel for two nights which allowed me to watch a football match and visit Grímsey Island. I had a room with a private bathroom, but others may choose to share a bathroom to get a lower price room."

"Good location, only 4 blocks from rainbow street and a 15 minute walk to Bus Stop 1 for tours. Lovely seating areas and cosy, quirky bar. The staff were all fabulous and breakfast options good."

"We stayed at this hotel for three nights and experienced two different rooms during our stay. Both rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with all the necessary facilities. The hotel is located right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of the main attractions and popular city walks, which made exploring very convenient. The staff were very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay, and the breakfast was excellent with a good variety to start the day. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we would happily recommend this hotel."

"Throughout our trip to Iceland, we saw different hotels that we assumed were part of the same Fosshotel chain, and they always seemed very modern, but the Fosshotel Stykkishólmur wasn't so modern; it might be considered even a little dated. The room was okay, but the bathroom really needs some update. It even had a certain smell. We were traveling with a friend and requested a three beds room. The third bed was kind of small (we don't think a man could have slept there), and it wasn't very comfortable either. You're paying for a room for three people. It wasn't something we asked at last minute. We had dinner there, and it was delicious. The breakfast buffet was the best and with most variety of all the ones we had at the different hotels. The staff both at reception, bar and restaurant was very friendly and helpful, although in general, we were expecting more for our money."
