"Well, totally different experience from Riga! This place is AWESOME as the staff. The lady who hosted us did a great and PERFECT job. We place is very well located, alogside the road, close to supermarkets and the castle ruins. The city centre can be acessed by a footpath uphill from the hotel on a pleasant walk. Bedrooms alright, very clean and organized with no problems at all. We liked so much, that we spent more time that we intended on the next city in a Wine Festival in Sabile that we decided to go back and stay one more night and with only 10 Euros more, they gave us an apartment with living room and kitchen. I wuosl easily go back and refer here. One of the best places on the trip! The city is not big and have not that much to visit but satying here, made everything much better and pleasant! And parking is right besides the hotel as well with plenty space and easy to use and access!"

"Yöpaikaksi sopiva, hivenen karu mutta mukavasti vanhentunut majoitusrakennus oli siisti ja siellä oli kaikki tarvittava. Sopivasti sivussa hälinästä, oli rauhallista ja pysäköintitilaa oli riittävästi."

Se oikeastaan saatiin mitä tilattiin. Ainoa mutka matkassa oli lukittu ulko-ovi mutta tekstiviestillä saatiin ohjeet nopeasti.

"We celebrated a birthday here and the owner and staff were absolutely lovely, joining in making the evening a memorable one. Rooms were comfortable, clean and the showers were great. Food was delicious. It is a peaceful place which felt like a little gem off the beaten track."

Rugged floors looked not too clean, there were a few hairs on the bed (which I don't care too much but could be an issue for some others)

"I loved the charm & atmosphere of the Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. Beds were nice & comfy. If anything a ceiling fan would be nice, just cause it got quite warm in the room. But otherwise ir was lovely."

I usually wouldn't stay in anything with a shared toilet & bathroom but it was fine & very clean.

And we were right on the beach so slept to the sound of the sea and woke up to drink our morning coffee looking out to the sea. Really comfy beach beds and great service for food and drinks. The staff so friendly and welcoming - a great atmosphere- peaceful, spacious, tranquil. You can walk along the beach to other bars or restaurants with a much more hectic vibe- it always felt like a blessing to return to Happy Corner. We felt very lucky to have found such a place- a slice of paradise!"

"This is a small hotel in a superb location with colourful gardens and excellent views. The friendly and hard working staff were extremely helpful, and the owner Primus met us at the airport and drove us to the hotel, for a pre-arranged fee. This made our arrival so much easier and stress free. He also arranged car rental for us which was excellent value. There's a nice lounging area overlooking the bay, good for watching sunsets, and a refreshing pool. Home cooked food available lunch and dinner, as well as breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed a most memorable and relaxing stay."

The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to organize all my trips both around town and further afield. They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help with anything. It also meant a lot to know that the funds from the guest house support a school for the local community. The reception was almost never occupied, and the person on the indicated phone number did not speak English. So checking in and paying was a bit tricky. Internet is a bit slow for working, but OK. Also, mind that you may need to bring your own shampoo, soap, and hair dryer.

The bedroom and bathroom are huge—honestly, it’s one of the most spacious bathrooms I’ve ever seen, and the hydromassage tub was a fantastic bonus! It would be perfect for families . The host is absolutely amazing; he went above and beyond by storing our luggage and even driving us to the city center. He was so helpful with everything."
