"A great place to stay if you are catching early morning flights. We were there on a Saturday night and there was a great selection of food vans nearby. There was always a cup of hot filter coffee available. Each room had a fan to keep cool and brush off any mozzies. I thought it was going to be very noisy, but was actually quite quiet."

"It was a bit hard to find. Also it has changed management, and the name recently. It would be nice to have a sign on the main road."

"Very close to the airport, down at the bottom of a deqd end Street. No street traffic just chickens. Extremely nice host. Very convenient to leave from or arrive from the airport. Host also offers car rentals."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fare O Mape. The accommodation is very spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. Matahi is a superb host and went well out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. All communication was responded to promptly before we arrived. Matahi took us to a supermarket when we arrived to pick up things for lunch and dinner. He arranged for us to visit a black pearl showroom the following morning and also to buy a Tahitian ukulele before taking us to the airport- things we couldn't have accomplished easily by ourselves with just a one-night stay. Would love to stay here again."

"Difficult to find the lodge because the location shown on Google Maps is incorrect, and the place is inside a living area without any signs from the main road. I had to get help from local people to find the place, and even they had problems explaining where it was, after talking to the host on phone."

"Once I found the place, the lodge was very nice, with a house and a garden for your own use. The host was helpful explaining everything needed."

"Quiet property (aside from jungle fowl which are throughout the island), comfortable bed, clean bathroom"

"It is a bit far from everything and up a very steep road without any sidewalk or street lighting so it is not walkable. A car is necessary but the parking space available is very small and down a steep and narrow driveway down to the property. I was in a mini so could just about maneuver to turn around, but I think any bigger and you’ll have to back into it."
