"A charming old school house, beautifully restored and nestled in a peaceful valley. It is quiet, remote and surrounded by nature. The river nearby is a wonderful place to swim in and canoe down."

"We received a very warm welcome. The old schoolhouse is secluded in the mountains. Bronwyn and Colin have lovingly renovated and furnished it. We slept with the window open and enjoyed the peace and seclusion. There are several marked hiking trails, the river for swimming and boats for paddling. Our children loved the chickens, which they were allowed to feed. They are very tame and let themselves be stroked. Thank you all! We had a great time!"

"Kaijaiki is a true gem! I have stood in unit 4 which was super spaciouse, had a lovely well equipped kitchenett and a beautiful, tranquil view onto the courtyard. The next door coffee-store where breakfast is served is so cozy and food is deliciouse. Manager and staff go over and above to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend it."

The room is beautiful, spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable, (the bathroom is amazing!) The property is located on a farm, with lovely orchards and a beautiful garden, which we really enjoyed. It’s about 15 minutes from MQP airport; since we planned to leave very early, the host kindly packed our breakfast so we could enjoy it in our room before departing."
