From post office to popular cazare The Home Reședință Post is located in two buildings, each with its own story to tell of Oskarshamn's past. The beautiful main building dates back to 1905 and used to be the city's post office before it became a reședință turistică in 1985. It underwent extensive renovation in 2025. The interior of the main building dates back to the early 1900s. It has high ceilings and several of the rooms have stunning ceramic fireplaces. The locuință truly offers a reminder of the city's past as a shipbuilding community. The former city motel is located nearby, and it was renovated in 2025.

"A friendly welcome, a beautiful building, a comfortable sleep, an easy to use and well equipped gym, lovely sauna facility, a delicious dinner and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I wish I had reason to stay longer. The rooms were comfortableness and quiet and I enjoyed the literary decor - a small selection of books in every room is a great convenience for travellers, almost as much as the tasty dinner (even with vegetarian options) and breakfast."

"Dom hade glömt av oss, trotts mailkontakt och påminnelse när vi anlände om att lägga undan middag som skulle ingå. Därav hade tillbehören till middagen tagit slut. Personalen som skulle hjälpa sa sig inte ha börjat sitt pass än, men vi fick till slut tag i en personal som hjälpte oss med viss tvivel."
