"Peaceful location. We chose this for a sleepover just because it was nicely located on our journey. It served the purpose very well. The setting is beautiful countryside setting and the building is old and has character. We had a two room + kitchen apartment which was nice and good value for the money. Excellent beds."

"Authentisches, kleines, altes Hotel, das von den jungen Eigentümern sukzessive wieder auf aktuellen Stand gebracht wird. Waren die einzigen Gäste, wurden abends bekocht!! Und morgens lecker Frühstück mit selbstgebackenem Brot... Das Haus besticht durch den old fashion Charme. Lage am Wasser toll, und zumindest jetzt im Winter wunderbar ruhig nachts"

"Man mußte von der Rezeption außen herum zum Treppenhaus, obwohl es einen Durchgang gibt, welcher zweckentfremdet wird als Zwischenlager. Toilettennische und Waschbecken baubedingt schmal und klein."

"Helt fantastisk gæstgiveri tæt på vand, hvor der var mulighed for ro, afslapning, badning og gode gåture. Personalet meget imødekommende og venligt. Kan varmt anbefales, hvis det er ro og skærgårsstemning, man søger."

"Frukosten var bra, gott bröd men saknade olika bröd sorter. Hade gärna önskat oss äggröra. Lite russin i müslin hade varit gott."

"Menyn på middagarna vara samma alla dagar. Hade varit trevligt med olika menyer när man är flera dagar."

"Location was perfect, remote and yet 20 minutes from Kiruna town. The Log Cabin was perfect for a party of 1-2 adult and 2 teens. Lovely bedroom and view. Saunas just next door. Enjoyed the chimney at night. Kitchen fully equipped and allowed us to cook our dinner and lunch. Team at Aurora is lovely, super friendly and helpful. Loved walking to the iced lake during the day and at nighttime for the northern lights."

"This was a fantastic apartment with more than we needed. Perfect amount of space, beautiful design and Maja is a fantastic host! Super close to the boat or bus to Stockholm, and a perfect base for Vaxholm and the islands. We stayed as four adults and there was more than enough space!"

"We returned this summer for a seventh stay and I can only repeat my recommendations from the last years: - very friendly hosts; we've felt warmly welcome and like at home - well kept and (in the best of taste) furnished, spacious room - absolutely quiet situated with lovely panorama - free wifi (to whom it may concern) - the fridge was filled with a variety of fresh stuff and we prepared our breakfast whenever we wanted (the home baked bread was the icing on the cake!) As a result we are now already looking forward to our next holidays in summer 2026!"

"The location is fantastic, right on the Göta Canal. Lots of cultural and industrial history. Lovely old buiildings and tow paths to walk along. Mallboden has a thriving cafe business, but it closes early so does not disturbe one's sleep."
