Așezated on a small island in the Dalsland Canal, this family-owned property is 24 km from Årjäng. It offers free Wi-Fi, a communal, fully equipped kitchen and BBQ facilities. Simple furnishings are provided at Alcatraz. Some accommodation includes canal views, along with a kitchenette and TV. Guests can choose either shared or private bathrooms. The summertime braseria with bar has a TV room and a large sun terrace with views over the water. It serves pizza, in addition to an à la carte menu. A climbing wall and seasonal swimming pool can be enjoyed at Alcatraz, as well as volleyball and swimming from the private jetty. Rental of kayaks, mountain bicycles and fishing boats are possible on site. Staff can also arrange water skiing and guided horseback riding trips. Both the Håverud Aqueduct and town of Åmal are within 1 hours' drive of the property.

"Cheerful and very helpful staff. Beautiful location on the canal joining 2 big lakes. Superb facilities for water sports, especially for the less experienced ones like me! And some nice hiking trails."
"The apartment lower level was a bit stuffy as it had only fixed windows. But with the grand weather we had, we were inside only for a few minutes! And I don't think anybody would go there to be inside anyway! 🙂"
