"Great place to stay, very central. The new owners of the hotel were very hospitable and are making some needed upgrades. The room was very clean with a comfortable new bed and bed linen, Loved the bar restaurant Troppo, all the staff was fantastic food at the restaurant was fantastic. Looking forward to my next visit to Honiara and I will stay at the King Solomon."

"Needs some refurbishment - looking a little run down at the edges. Built on a hillside and the many wooden steps are slippery when wet. Hard to see the funicular controls in low light had to use my torch. There are still additional steps - slippery for me aged 72 and using a stick"
