"The suite was gorgeous and the dressing gowns provided a nice touch. The staff were really kind and breakfast was fantastic"

"Although a dishwasher tablet is provided, it would be helpful to have a cloth to wipe the sides down."

"The staff were amazing. The food was very good. The room size was amazing. The location was easy to get to and from."

"Noise heard from other locations in room. Toiletries in room were lacking, but once the reception/ manager were notified, it was resolved."

"Location was beautiful and so peaceful with incredible views over the mountains. Buffet selection and food was excellent. I made use of the timetable of activities including local walks and classes and the kids club Spa and treatments were amazing, would definitely recommend the spa circuit for €25 Staff were wonderful Christmas was low key and relaxing and they put on a great night for New Year so we may return for that next year."

"We stayed 8 nights so the room started to get a little dusty towards the end of our stay. I have asthma so maybe noticed more than some might. A few maintenance jobs were needed around the hotel but it was due to close for end of season and it wouldn’t put us off returning. The room was lovely and the bed huge but I found it uncomfortable and the pillows very lumpy!"

"Mountain View suite was excellent. Good food and very helpful staff."

"Not given information to book a time slot for the spa before we arrived ."

"Loved everything inside the building. It's just perfect."

"The filth and rubbish at the bin area and rubbish at the entrance driveway to the front door."

"We liked the setting of the hotel. Monchique is very beautiful. The hotel is well run with professional staff. The spa is little but more than adequate."

"Throughly enjoyed our short stay here , valve for money, beautiful room with two bathrooms bath for me and shower room for my husband so we felt very spoiled. After my bath my skin felt really good , the water was very soft ! We also went to one of our favourite Piri Piri Restruant’s on the mountain ‘Paraiso da Montanha’ The breakfasts at the resort were superb ! Also took part in a couple of fitness classes ‘Maria’ the trainer was definitely a very high standard fitness coach All the staff were kind and helpful, we will certainly return!"

"We were told we could use the indoor spa pool on the Monday evening as the usual pool was not up to temperature, The spa pool was very busy when we tired to go in , so we decided not to venture in …but we understand as a lot of families were enjoying it hopefully next time we visit we will enjoy it too !"

"What a wonderful few days! Loved our time of rest & recharging. Great rooms, staff are amazing, and the food was fantastic"

"The only small thing is that the internet is linked to the TV, which shuts down after a couple of hours and needs to be logged in again. A bit annoying over time"

"Nice staff, clean, modern, spacious, great breakfast , nice view"

"Thin wall between the rooms. Noisy children during breakfast."
