Located on the north coast of Mauritius in the town of Grand Baie lies Monalysa Holidays. Offering self-catering units, it is 5 minutes’ walk from a variety of shops and 100 metres from the beach. Monalysa units are individually stilated and each unit is fitted with a TV, safe and coffee machine. Some units feature a balcony with views of the city. "Central location, close to the beach and all the shops, nice tour from the tour agency, they even kept my bag after i check out until my bus time. Friendly staff, nice room, superb experience."

"Molto buona la posizione a pochi passi dalla spiaggia da supermercati/centro commerciale e locali, fermata del autobus poco distante. Facilità nel check in, il padrone è stato gentile. L'appartamento è dotato di tutto il necessario. Pulito. Wi-fi ok. Comodo avere l'agenzia che organizza escursioni sotto casa."

"Un pò rumoroso. Nella stanza spesso c'erano degli insettini, tipo micro formichine, ma per noi non è stato un grosso problema."

"Great location to explore Le Morne area and the South coast. Spacious apartment, well equipped kitchen, nice terrace for breakfast and dinners. Walking distance to GSR supermarket and a couple of restaurants. Daily cleaning of the apartment with frequent towel change. Very responsive and easy going host."

"Stayed again and would highly recommend. The beachfront location is perfect — you literally walk straight out onto the sand. The rooms are finished to an exceptionally high standard and genuinely feel like proper bedrooms, as if you’re living there rather than “staying” there. "The location was unbeatable. Just steps away from the most idyllic beach, which had relatively little foot-fall. It felt like paradise. Coco-Fesse is tucked away in a quiet private garden, giving privacy and quietness. We had access to kayaks, barbeque, and a beachside shower to rinse the salt off. If you are looking for a trip out to see dolphins, turtles, whales or the northern islands, I would recommend asking the host for Robert's number - a fantastic guide who will pick you up in his boat from the beach. There are well-stocked shops, and excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance. The associated car rental and transfer service was excellent. The hosts and maids and gardener were all very friendly and kind, and it was nice to have a laundry service and the accommodation cleaned each day. When compared with other accommodation nearby, the value for money can't be beaten. We couldn't recommend highly enough. Thank you for such a wonderful stay."
