Villa Jovan

"Ohrid is magical but this place is definitely one of my best stays. Location perfect in steps to lake front. Tons of cafes bars and restaurants. Rooms are located on first and second floors above a jewelry showroom. Checkin was smooth. The lady speaks excellent English. Also got a big bottle of water which was highly appreciated in the summer heat. This property required a card for confirmation but payment was cash upon arrival. As I was single I got a smaller room. There was no AC as stated but a desk fan and a water cooler. That did the job perfectly. The bed was comfortable. A big cupboard too. Bathroom too was a bit small but was ok. Unfortunately there's a strong smell of drainage but that's common in older ex YU places."

"Gorgeous house in a gorgeous location! My single room was tiny but it was fine for one person - a wardrobe to store the suitcase and a good sized shower with great water pressure. The room was very clean and the staff super friendly. The location is incredible - right in the old town in a historic house but I never heard any noise! Definitely recommended."

"There was no holder for the shower head so I had to hold it all the time to shower. Not a problem but a note: as an old house it had steep curved staircases and might not be suitable if you struggle with stairs."

"The shower room is tiny even for one person - which may be excused by the fact that it is a historic house. However, everything seems to be falling apart and is in need of fixing. Again - because this is an old Ohrid house, the wooden staircase to the second floor may be a problem for some. The large, comfortable double bed is flanked by wooden house support and takes almost all of the space in the room."

"We stayed one night at Villa Jovan, located in the heart of the old town of Ohrid. The place was very clean and comfortable, and we had three rooms—two of them with terraces offering a wonderful view of the lake. We had a very, very good breakfast at their restaurant CUN, which is located directly on the lake side—no need to walk far at all. It was a great way to start the day with a beautiful view. Mrs. Lidia was very polite and welcoming, making our short stay even more pleasant. Highly recommended for a cozy and scenic stay in Ohrid!"
