"This is a piece of paradise in the city. A beautiful green garden, a large room with a spacious bathroom, hot water and a great stream of water. Everything super clean. The staff is very nice - they will prepare for you anything you can think of for both dinner and breakfast. Calm. About 10-15 minutes by car to the port, which they will arrange. I highly recommend and thank you for your stay."

"The rooms are nice and clean, and a walled-in garden makes it a safe and pleasant place to stay and relax. The breakfast was fantastic. You can ride with pousse-pousse to or from the city centre. It is also possible to walk (I did), or you could ask the estate to organise transport. I was at two other places in Toliara, but this was the best."
"Since it is a little outside the city centre it was a bit difficult to explain the address to the pousse-pousse biker (I don't speak french or malagasy). I made sure to have the telephone number to the estate, so I could call them up and have them explain the direction to the pousse-pousse biker."
"The place has a real cultural feel, family owned I was lucky to be there same time as owner Ernestine The entire staff make you feel special and apart of family, will tailor make your time there to suit your needs from food to taking you in to town or beaches great place and I will be back 150% value for money"

"The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Yolanda and the staff were all wonderful and looked after me. Yolanda arranged a local masseuse lady to come and give me full body massage which I am so grateful for!"

"Amako is a gem! if you like tranquility, this is your place. it is away from the hustle and puzzle of the town but close enough to reach by any transportation. The view is incredible, the most beautiful sunsets in the terrace which is so big. The pictures dont reflect how spacious the apartment and terrace is. It is also located on the beach, the pool is beautiful and a few steps down you're on the beach. I took morning dives every morning right out of bed. It's a private beach which means no other people around, heavenly. Williams and Esteline are so lovely and they are making sure everything you need in the house is taken care for you. Oceanne was great at communicating and receiving us at the door at our arrival. This is a 10 out of 10 location."

"Kitana Lodge was a wonderful and peaceful place. My wife and I stayed here for only three days, but we truly enjoyed every moment. The host, Nelly, was incredibly kind and friendly, and we loved chatting with her. Even when we felt like having some snacks, like chips or chocolate, she immediately organized them for us she was simply the best and a good friend! The rooms were huge the largest we’ve seen during our one-month trip through Madagascar and they were also very clean. We really miss this place and would love to come back someday.
