"Located in a side street of the Laisves alley you are situated next to the main street and a bit further away is the old town. The moment you enter the hotel you can feel the historic atmosphere of the hotel. At the breakfast buffet there is something for everyone, you will not start hungry into the day. This hotel is ideal for a city trip and if you look for a historic flair that a usual hotel can not give."

"We chose this hotel specifically for its atmosphere - wanted to see the wooden entrance, the staircase, and the building itself, which dates back to the 18-something year. Before the trip, I read a lot of reviews, and honestly, about 90% of them felt greatly exaggerated in reality. It seems that some guests simply like to suffer and dramatize. We took a late check-out, everything went smoothly. The breakfast is simple but decent - you won’t leave hungry. Our child chose pancakes, while we had an omelet with bacon. The room was clean, and the bathroom was clean as well. The hotel is pet-friendly and offers parking. Overall, it’s a perfectly reasonable option if you understand where you’re going and what to expect."

"Located in a World Heritage building (Hotel Lietuva), so the same hotel was already a sight ifself, you could feel the history of the place. It was very conveniently located by Laisves street. The rooms were functional and the staff very helpful."

"It was possible to hear Christmas songs from the street, even at night. There were not many electric outlets to plug computer/phone in the room."

"Breakfast area was too dark maybe lighter colours or better lighting will be good. It will need some upgrades to keep functionality in the future. It mostly rellies on old glory."

"I like Hotel Metropolis, due to the very good location, nice breakfest, and the history connected with this place. Every time, when I am in Kaunas, I choose this place for my stay. I have got what I expected."

"Some facilities need refurbishment, but the building has its age. It is not the top-modern building, with all top-facilities, but for me it is not a problem."

"Perfect central location unfortunately has some negative side - the noise of the street in the middle of the night during a weekday may happen, as well as construction works. Coffee machine literally closes down at 10 am (when the breakfast ends). This is unfortunately a very unwelcoming, unpleasant and offputting experience you may have in a place which is supposed to be your home while away from home."
