"The property is about 50m from beach. One can enjoy the view of the Indian Ocean from the rooftop while enjoying food. There's a train track running close and is a source of entertainment. Every time a train passes, we were running to the balcony like kids. Breakfast is not included. All meals have to be paid, which is fine. The Chef Madhu is a good cook. He customised the menu for our Indian taste. The owner Mrs. Stephanie is very cordial, always smiling, and is a professional. She works personally and supervised most of the works. It was our last place of stay in Sri Lanka, and we rested a lot. Made a couple of visits to the beach and the city. The city is located about 15 km. Tuk Tuks and Cars are available and we used Uber."

"The receptionist was exceptionally understanding and accommodating. I stayed here on the st Valentine's night before my flight and the receptionist warned me that the hotel was fully booked and might be loud due to the celebration, but i didn't hear anything and had a great sleep before my departure"

"The view is stunning and the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Nimal is very kind and helpful and very responsive to any queries. Our room was simple and clean. The wifi is good and there is AC"

"Perfect location right on the beach with wonderful views and 3 minutes walk from the train and bus stations so very easy to get to. The beach itself is gorgeous - long stretch of sand, beautiful and quiet. The room was clean and comfortable with AC and a fridge, and you can not only see the sea but you can hear the waves in bed at night! There are shops and restaurants nearby which I didn’t explore as the food at Beach House was great - delicious home cooking. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The owner introduced me to a lovely local tuk tuk driver (Kushan) who took me to all the local sights one day - kayaking on Koggala Lake, visiting the museum and tea plantation etc."

"Comfortable guesthouse backed onto one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. Rooms were clean and of reasonable size, small pool a refreshing addition with multiple patio/seating areas. I was in regular touch with a coordinator from the Kay Jay HQ who was responsive with good English - he helpfully arranged tuks and taxis when there were language barriers with the local team."

"It was quiet, located right next to the beach. You hear only the waves (and the fishermen). Room was spacious, clean and well equipped (though a bit dated). The balcony was huge and cool during the day because of the breeze from the ocean. The garden is nice, with enough lawnchairs and shade spots around the pool. No mosquitos during our stay. You can order dinner that they bring from somewhere else. It was well done (we tried fish, rice and curry, prawns). Helpful and friendly staff."
