"It’s a bit out of the town and you need a car. Hotel is fabulous, looks glamorous. Breakfast was good."
"The isolation in the room was close to zero. Which was a big disappointment as I heard next door people talking like in my room. Also 6:30am the staff started to clean and spoke loudly in the corridor, plus moved the furniture etc so the night became very short :-/. I would suggest also to add to the rooms more powerful hairdryer as the one in my room was basically useless."

"Location is perfect, a short tuck tuck ride from town, close enough to get to the Lion rock, temples and beautiful botanical gardens. Loved our room, with a rock inside and a jacuzzi! Plus, food at the restaurant was of good quality and variety. Views are stunning! Staff attentive and knowledgeable."

"Everything was fine, perhaps bathroom cleanliness could be improved for a 5 star. Also, keep in mind they can't order a taxi for you, so be ready to have your transport arranged beforehand, or if you have a Sri Lankan Sim card, download the pick me app. You need transport to get anywhere else in Kandy from the hotel."

"Lovely location and setting with beautiful grounds. The hotel design is pretty spectacular and the pool was great. Food is good but hotel prices unsurprising. Staff were really friendly and helpful particularly Mulan on front desk who always seemed to be there with help on issues relating to the Cyclone damage and closures. Ravi and Kanth were very efficient and kept the room clean and entertained us with their lovely towel animals! Overall,loved our stay."

"Fantastic service, attentive staff and really made us feel safe during an extended stay due to the Cyclone. We especially appreciated the friendly cleaning staff who kept our room wonderfully clean - Lahiru and Eranda. Also the training staff at the Mountbatten Lounge, who were doing a great job."
