"well located and nice view of the castle. Restaurant underneath had nice,reasonable food. No parking but found a space not far and it was free. Comfortable bed."

"The stairs. Up to first floor not bad, bit to go to second floor they were extremely narrow and winding. Difficult to get ourselves up nevermind the suitcases 🙃 nice size bathroom but the water in the shower didn't stay warm for long"

"The position is fantastic, a lot of room in your room and general old French house. I would definitely go back. Hosts are supportive and helpful"

"The room & attached bathroom were both lovely - the best of our trip. The position overlooking the Main Street and the château is ideal - the street is lively but closes up for the night relatively early. Breakfast was simple and delicious. Our hosts made us feel very welcome."

"A very helpful and welcoming staff, we were very well looked after! The rooms are comfortable, spacious and well decorated, you can believe the photos :-) The location is on the very busy street, it gets quiet after 22:00 (but we enjoyed it)."

"The Villa Roma is in the very heart of old town Amboise, right on the promenade, so the location could not be better. It is an Italian restaurant with few rooms in the back. Our room was spacious with fridge inside. Bed comfortable, all was very clean. Bathroom was small but clean and with all ammenities we needed. They have space for bicycles inside, under the roof, which is great for Loire cycling."

"Nothing in particular, if one thing, maybe the room equipment was a bit basic, but we had everything we needed so I would not hold that against them."

"Had to boil kettle on the floor as kettle cable too short to reach plug sockets. Very squeaky floorboard on one side of bed. Staircase to 2nd floor is very steep and uneven and could cause problems to those with mobility issues."
