"We were really impressed with everything at Mas CamPau right from the time we confirmed our booking. Our very genial host msgd us and welcomed us at the door. He carried our bag to the room and explained everything in good English. He gave recommendations for places to visit and to eat. Breakfast was exceptional ! Wonderful variety of fresh food, fruits, eggs, pastries, juices and selection of teas or coffees . We could not fault it and hope to return later this week."

"The house was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We knew the area as we’d visited last year so the location was perfect."

"We stayed four nights as a family of four. The chalet is simply furnished and located just on the outskirts of the small town. The public swimming pool had alas closed the day before in preparation for the return to school. There are a number of other wild swimming spots a short drive away. This is deep France. The local population, and your neighbours if staying, are cows. There are a few restaurants and shops in Etang, otherwise head into Autun for a wider selection of places to eat and such. Overall this was a very relaxing place to stay with wonderful night skies. The coffee maker provided is the Senseo system so do bear that in mind. The only other negative was the quality of the pillows provided but France, despite my love for it, has never really appreciated the comfort and pleasure of abundant, fluffy pillows! Bah."
