"No elevator. Up two floors with a heavy bag. Staff didn't offer to help. Here was a very unpleasant smell from the bed linen /pillows which made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was basic but OK."

"Breakfast service felt a little inappropriate in what was otherwise a very relaxed ambiance. Would have been nice to have a 'half' buffet - say be able to help yourself to milk or yoghurt to go with the muesli which was on the side. But a very nice breakfast room and charming staff."

"This is a smart, beautiful property, impeccably furnished to allow the beauty of the stone to impress. We were welcomed on arrival by Benoît who gave a very helpful introduction (available in English or French!). We enjoyed a lovely breakfast after a night in a very comfortable room. We really can’t fault any aspect of our stay and our only regret is that we could only stay one night."

"Superb place for a stopover and relax. Room was huge and luxury bathroom. Excellent breakfast and lovely pool area. We stayed at 9 locations during our European tour and this was by far the best. The Chateau itself was well maintained with many original features."

"Location very good for the beach (5 mins) and for walking in the hills. Bus stop outside La Bastide to a station for the train to Toulon. A quiet site with a pool and our studio had a view over rooftops to the wooded hills. The person caring for the site was very helpful with advice etc. Kitchenette is small but well equipped for two people and everything was very clean. Don't expect to cook grand meals but restaurants within easy walking distance. Local Proxi supermarket is well stocked and very welcoming even offering bread when bakery was shut on Mondays."

"Villa is very comfortable , airy and clean. I liked very much the bathroom , kitchen and the garden. Most important- this place is calme and peaceful. Close to supermarlet and Bonifacio but you will need a car definitly."
