"The main thing to know about this place is that it's an actual castle from the 15th or 16th century. You are literally sleeping in a place once owned by the war minister of Louis XIV. You will wander the sprawling grounds, taking photos, unable to quite believe where you are. I went for a long walk/run with two of the dogs. Just like hundreds of years ago. The hostess made us a fine dinner (for a price) when we arrived and didn't have the time or energy to go find a restaurant. She regaled us with stories about the chateau."

"People who aren't dog lovers might have an issue with the three very friendly dogs running around. The bathroom isn't exactly luxurious: The shower consists of a clawfoot tub equipped with a hand-held spray wand. To get to our bedroom we had to go up two flights on a spiral stone staircase. To me, though, those are features, not bugs. Ask the proprietor for the best address to put into your GPS because if you use the one on the website you'll end up at a dead-end a couple of miles away."

"J’ai été accueilli chaleureusement comme un ami de la famille par Alain et Isabelle avec qui j’ai partagé le dîner. C’était une vraie expérience immersive dans leur vie du quotidien ! Leur gentillesse et générosité m’a fait oublié que j’étais dans une maison d’hôtes. J’ai hâte de repasser en Mayenne pour y retourner ! Une de mes meilleures expériences touristiques depuis longtemps, merci infiniment !"

"Tudo foi maravilhoso. Isabelle e Alain são super acolhedores e o castelo é um absurdo, parece que saiu de um conto de fadas. O jantar foi espetacular e as conversas impagáveis. Uma experiência única que só deixou recordações maravilhosas."

"Our most hospitable and attentive owners, Tress and Patrick, are dedicated in their commitment to give their guests the best experience possible. The house has been tastefully restored to a very high standard in decoration with comfort in mind combining old, and new where required. The rooms are lovely and well equipped. Linens are high end. There is everything you need. We had ordered a meal on first booking and we were not disappointed. Three courses all cooked and presented with care. The breakfast was amazing. The house, furnishings, hosts and the setting are second to none. I can't give more than 10, but Tress and Patrick deserve it. Exceptional and outstanding."

"Une communication avec la propriétaire fluide et fort sympathique via la messagerie Booking. L'appartement est conforme à la description - il est très propre et très agréable à vivre - nous y avons pris certains de nos repas et l'équipement est suffisant pour cuisiner - Le fait d'être au dernier étage en fait un endroit très calme (il faut juste prévoir de monter les 3 étages si on est un peu limité dans ses mouvements) - l'emplacement est plus qu'idéal -à 2 pas vraiment du Palais d'un côté et des remparts de l'autre - nous avons pu nous garer pendant 3 jours dans les rues attenantes sans chercher une place bien longtemps (pourtant en w-end) -"

"Miriam was a very friendly host and nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable room, and we really enjoyed her excellent home cooked breakfast, particularly the scrambled eggs from her hens, the home made quiche, crepes and cake!! We had to leave quite early on our departure day and were treated to a very early breakfast. Thank you for everything and we will certainly be back!"

"The apartment has absolutely everything needed for a family stay. Our host Daniel was very kind and always ready to help. The place is cozy and comfortable for a family of two adults and two children. The kids especially loved the bed on the mezzanine.
