"This grand hotel is very aesthetically pleasing. The room was very spacious (so much so that it had two sets of double-windows overlooking a main road below) and it was nicely decorated. The hotel itself is in an excellent, central location with a few main attractions within walking distance and about 40 minutes from the main airport. Most of the staff were very welcoming and helpful and the facilities were clean and well-maintained."
"Though there is a very good restaurant onsite, it closes at 6pm in the evening. Although there are several other places to eat nearby, do double-check what time the main hotel doors are closed/locked for the night before setting out."

"We really loved our stay at Casa Colonial Quito. It is a beautiful hotel and we stayed in the most gorgeous grand room. The staff - especially Ben - was amazing and so so helpful throughout our time there. The location is ideal as it is a few steps from Plaza Grande and close to all the spectacular sights around Quito. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning and were so glad the hotel could make us non-dairy cappuccinos when we wanted them!"

"Detta var ett verkligt fynd. Litet, familjärt, charmigt. Mycket prisvärt. Toppenläge alldeles intill Plaza Grande med restauranger och caféer. Kändes helt tryggt, med vanliga försiktig förstås. De ordnade transfer från flygplatsen och stod och mötte bilen när jag anlände (gågata utanför hotellet). De ordnade också fram middag åt mig fast restaurangen var stängd när jag kom. God mat i restaurangen som verkade välbesökt av lokalbefolkningen. Spansktalande men ev språkproblem löstes med översättningsprogram."
