"My second time staying at the wonderful St. James Guesthouse. Returned back after 3 years, and it was even more wonderful than what I remembered. The owner along with all of the employees are absolutely lovely. You truly feel at home with a lovely family like atmosphere. The rooms are authentic and have exactly what you need. Enjoyed having Netflix on the TV along with Aircondition in the room. Breakfast was delicious with great additional options you pay a cheap price for. Location is the best in Roseau, next to a car rental, walkable distance to everything (Ferry terminal, Markets, Restaurants/bars, Local busses to Portsmouth or Trafalgar). Cannot recommend this place and the employees enough. One of the many gems in Dominica! Thanks to the team once again 🙏"

"The location is perfect for those not driving, it is a 10-minutes walk to downtown. It was great that a simple breakfast (fruits, cereals, bread and coffee/tea) was included. Also the owner (Cheney) was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with."

"The door lock should be upgraded or at least add in a safety chain, currently the lock is one of those that you twist to lock/open."

"I stayed at St James Guest House and absolutely loved it. I really appreciated the warm welcome — the staff were attentive, helpful, and very friendly. I would definitely go back. The location is great: about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal and 5 minutes from the city center."

"Breakfast included with the room, consisted of various fresh fruit (yum!) and toast, jams etc.. We bought a cooked breakfast on one day (also nice). Our host (Chenney) and other staff were so lovely and helpful. Rooms are cleaned very two days. It is also close to the town (about 10 minute walk). Access to Netflix."

"The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit every day and that was a plus for me. Every major shops/supermarket was situated in close walking distance and that was so convenient. Ms. Carol and all the staff was so super friendly!!!!"

"The restaurant on site was closed, but by no fault of anyone, as the chef was out sick.......so unfortunate indeed. Wifi was a bit spotty at times, but quickly restored itself afterwards"

"Breakfast was very basic, would be nice to have a cook breakfast at no extra cost. Location was excellent, no problem getting around the town, very central."

"Not enough space to move about for a double size bedroom. Having a fridge with no ice facility in this temperature was disappointing."

"The location was perfect for walking to Roseau and back. The room was clean, well organized and comfortable. Breakfast was great! The staff was welcoming, friendly and responsive to requests. I will stay at St. James again in the future."
