Hotel Spatz

"Totul. Hotel mic, maxim 20 camere cred, situat chiar in fata statiei de autobuz. Parcare in curtea hotelului, fara taxa aditionala. Am primit si un card pt. gratuitate pe transportul in comun local. Camera mai micuta, dar la pretul de 292 CHF pentru 2 nopti este chiar ieftin pentru Lucerna. Am mai platit 17 CHF/pers. pt. fiecare mic dejun servit. Rezonabil, cafea buna! M-au ajutat chiar cu niste gheata caci mi se umflase piciorul si era dureros. personal dornic sa-ti satisfaca doleantele."

"Conveniently located next to a bus station. No coffee in the room but we could get free coffee from reception. Comfortable and clean rooms."

"The quietness and very convenient .. park our car at the hotel and we took the free bus around lucerne."

"Good location for the money, we were given a pass to travel on the local buses for free. There is a bus stop outside the hotel that has buses going into the main train station and old town every 5 minutes during the day. Very clean and comfortable beds."

"Hotel is nice, beds are comfortable. The triple room actually has three proper beds instead of one sofa bed. Hotel provided visitor pass so all of us staying in the hotel room could have free public transport within the city centre. Despite not being directly in city centre, this meant could take the bus from the stop right outside the hotel straight to centre in less than 10 minutes. Buses are very frequent until late at night and area is safe. Also, hotel allowed us to store luggage after check out so we could explore on the last day too."

"The biggest problem was NO LIFT/ELEVATOR. I booked this months in advance and didn't realise that I would be given a room on top floor. Maybe all the triple rooms are on top floor (3rd or 4th floor). We had to carry our heavy suitcase, almost 30kg, up all the stairs. So I do not recommend if you are staying with heavy luggage. Also, city tax was not included in hotel price so be aware you will have to pay when you check in. We paid 21 CHF for 3 people. There is no air conditioner in room but they have fans (but air con was not needed when we stayed in late June as weather was still nice, so I don't know if it would be a problem)."

The administrator was very friendly and helpful, and it was great to have the flexibility of an early check-in or leaving the car in the hotel’s parking. We also really appreciated the guest tickets, which allowed free trolleybus rides to the city center and even discounts on the lake boat trip. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything needed for overnight stays. A good choice for visiting Lucerne.”"

"The place is nice, well located and comfortable. There is no elevator and no AC, so it was a bit hot on the summer nights. Although they do provide fans. Everything else was fine!"
