The Sonnenberg Unitate De Cazare in Kriens offers panoramic views over Lake Lucerne, the mountains and the forest, a Nespresso machine in every room, seasonal cuisine and free WiFi. Hostel Sonnenberg is easily reachable by the historic funicular, climbing up from Kriens Dorf within 7 minutes, from April to November. "The rooms were nice, the view was also nice probably but unlucky for us the weather was foggy. The rooms have windows that see down the hill and they also provide binoculars to enjoy the view. There's a market in the farm near by that you can buy fresh milk products."

"Really good stay in Lucerne with super friendly staff who were very accomodating. The views from this stay are absolutely incredible! The location is away from the busy centre, but there is a cable car that runs every 10-15 mins to take you to and from the bus stop everyday - very scenic (downside is this only runs until 5pm)."
