Swimming pool was closed for the four days I stayed there. Food options were limited but it was during Ramadan.

"This was a very comfortable modern house like a tiny home but felt spacious. Kids loved sleeping in the loft. It was warm and inviting. The setting is lovely on a river with some small falls. I imagine Iin summer the outdoor bbq area would be very nice. We had a very comfortable night. Free onsen was nice although glad no one else there as it was tiny."

The location is quite far from the train so you need a taxi. The taxi drivers seemed put out to go there she it cost us about $40. Also far from a shop. So bring food or have a car. I like an onsen but it was very tiny. It would be nicer outdoors by the river.

"Recomand din inima acest loc, departe de lumea dezlantuita, chiar langa padure. Casutele sunt intime, la o distanta rezonabila unele de altele, cu tot ce ai nevoie pentru cateva zile de conectare cu natura si deconectare de la agitatie si stres. Proprietarii, Vlad si Lavinia, sunt doi oameni extraordinari care au pus mult suflet in toata locatia si care te ajuta cu tot ce ai nevoie (nu exageram😁, pe noi ne-au recuperat dintre munti, dupa ce ne-am ratacit si ne-a prins intunericul si ploaia). Jos palaria! Cu siguranta vom reveni.🫶"

Drumul pana la Carbunari este destul de rau, multe gropi-cratere, neasteptat pentru o zona turistica asa de populara. Dar asta tine de administratia publica. In rest, la cazare totul a fost perfect.

"I really enjoyed staying at Camping La Y Griega, in Bocas del Toro. For me, the location is perfect because it is a bit further away from town (which can be very noisy), making the atmosphere much calmer and more peaceful. In addition, the two buses that go to the main destinations on the island stop right in front: to Playa Bluff or towards Bahía Dragón and Playa Estrella. Taxis to town cost 1 dollar. There are affordable options for both rooms and tents. The tents are set up on wooden platforms in a very cozy space with hammocks and sofas. The place is well maintained, with a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Howler monkeys pass by very often, and you can also see hummingbirds, which makes the atmosphere even more special. The owner, Johny, is very attentive and friendly, and the volunteers are also very kind and helpful. If I return to Bocas del Toro, I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it."

"Khulan was super helpful, professional and spoke good English. Her advice and organisation was excellent. It was friendly, relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Turtle rock was a good hike that took about 4.5hrs there and back, but hiking anywhere in the national park was spectacular. Luckily the weather was sunny and warm. Visiting the Chinggis Khaan Statue on the way from Ulaanbaatar prior to check-in worked well."

My room had a little ant problem as well as if you actually want a reply from the place you need to call the number that's stuck to the window of the Information building. I messaged multiple times through Booking but never had a reply until I called.

Sa stricat boilerul si nu am mai putut face baie in ultimele zile,deși am vorbit cu personalul ne.a zis sa așteptăm să se încarce,am așteptat doua zile și nimic apoi noi am plecat.

"What a joyful, lovely place!! I am not going to lie: it's in the middle of nowhere, and getting there is a whole adventure (especially if you get the wrong road) but once you reach, it's a fabulous place to be. The owners are so incredibly kind and helpful! They made everything possible and impossible to help us with our stay. We spent 3 nights and it seems we were the first ones to occupy the tent (I must say, the bed was HEAVENLY) so as you can imagine, it was spotless and shiny new. The tent is quite spacious and very comfy. There are two kitchens nearby (beautifully equippped with everything needed and classified rubbish bins) with electricity and plugs (in fact, this is the place to charge your phone). The toilets are also close by (and very clean) and the showers are a joy (loved to be barefoot on the pebbles). They even have gel and shampoo (and it smells great!). Everything is done with love and joy, and it shows. We loved it!"

No complaints, but bear in mind there is no electricity in the tent itself, so in case you want to charge or need electricity you have some charging points or the kitchen. Also wifi is not strong outside the reception area.
