"It was unique and the location perfect as we had stopped off in the city of Masaru on the way. We had excellent communication with the host who organised an upgrade as we were two women travelling together and asked for the possibility of twin beds. Mark organised a full day out on his horses with his guide Motobang which was excellent and included lunch. All food was prepared by him and was delicious and plenty."

He welcomes you with open arms and helps with absolutely everything at any time. The apartment is really charming and you feel at home immediately when you step in. "Easily accessible at the center of town, close to bus stops. The host provided a lot of amenities, such as bathroom items and some snacks and water to ease a late arrival. Spacious main room, a hallway with clothes hanger and mirror, and a spacious bathroom with shower, tub, and washer."

"We had a lovely stay! The pool was absolutely wonderful and the staff were really friendly. The food from the restaurant was some of the best we had in Guatemala! The gardens were gorgeous and had some stunning birds in the trees! The room was really beautiful and the shower was powerful."

The whole place had such a nice, peaceful vibe. The staff were great - so helpful, especially Amos, Diana and Thomas. Highly recommend staying here"

"Fantastic experience! The camp is located in the desert (15 min drive through the dunes) and can only be reached with a 4x4 or pick-up by the camp staff which needs to be arranged beforehand. It really feels like staying in the middle of the desert with no other camp to be seen. The tents are quite big and nicely decorated, each with a private outdoor bathroom connected to the tent. In the evening at 8pm there is a buffet dinner with a bonfire afterwards. Highly recommend!"

It would be helpful if there was a bath mat provided to keep the floor dry. And I am glad that washing up liquid is now provided, as in previous years we have had to buy our own.

Be aware that the toilets and showers are in a separate block.

Like all rural places barking dogs can be annoying, if light sleeper get earplugs..
