"We tried 3 different hostels in UB and this one was the best by far. It is cheap (around 7€ per night), very clean, modern, the beds in the dormitory are very good, and most of all, the hosts are super nice. Yuka and her family made us feel really welcome, and Yuka is super funny. After 1 week there it felt like home. I definitely recommend this place !"

"We had a very comfortable and quiet 2 week stay in the Sunset Room. The entire cottage is beautiful and immaculately kept by Demi. We had everything we needed to cook at home but also enjoyed many meals out at local restaurants. Our morning coffee on the balcony before our daily walks on Shoal Bay beach (5 min drive away) were a great way to start each day. Use of the laundry facilities was much appreciated. Hot shower, quality towels, linens and bath products. Demi was very helpful with recommendations. The location was great as we had a car to explore the island. Nothing in Anguilla is far. We loved everything about the island and would highly recommend any of the rooms at The Hidden Cottage."

"Our whole family loved this place. The garden setting is beautiful and very well maintained, and the kids absolutely loved the pool — it was a real highlight for them. The location is superb: close to the beach and right by the marine reserve, which made for some of the best snorkelling we experienced. A fantastic spot for a relaxed family stay."

We liked it all. Nothing negative. Just note that if you’re bringing a car, there is on-street parking in the surrounding streets but it can be hard to find a space as it’s always busy. You can use the apartment’s private parking for €15 per night but we didn’t need to.

Location was far from the main tourist centers in Nungwi and stone town. Suggest getting a car if you are there - lucky we had one. Otherwise great stay!

As I have a problem with a leg I wrote the owners beforehand to be assured that access to the apartment was easy and was informed that it was, however, when we arrived it turned out that we first had to access one building and take a lift four floors and then walk a bit to access the building with the apartment. It should also be mentioned that there was a problem with the lock on the door leading out to the street, and it was often difficult to open from the outside. For the first three nights we were assigned an other apartment one floor below that was not up to standard at all. We were, however granted a discount for the inconvenience. We had not been informed about this beforehand. The television in the apartment did not work, and was not fixed during our stay. The apartment was on the eight floor and there was no sign for emergency exit on the floor. The owners lived in Italy and all contact with them was through the young lady representing them in Mindelo.

Мы жили в Garden vew - это отдельный от основгого отеля guest house на 5 номеров с частной территорией - вход по чипу. Пляж, ресторан находятся на основной территории отеля (Laguna view), где имеется 22 номера. Они естественно дороже. От garden view до laguna view метров 400 по прямой. Так что мы хоть 1000 шагов за день наматывали, а то и 100 не выходило бы ))) Вечером к причалу приплывают акулы няньки и рифовые акулы - отель их кормит каждый вечер."

Мы брали полный пансион. Завтраки были печальные. Из белка только омлет с овощами и через раз сосиски. В обед не швецкий стол, а отель сам дает то, что готовят в данный день. Не нравится - заказывай из платного меню: 2е блюдо + сок выходит 15-20$ на человека. На ужин макароны+рис и мясо+рыба. 1 салат и 1 вид фруктов. Наверное для Мальдив это нормально - не знаю.

"We loved the view from our eco friendly and very well appointed self contained place - we could see the sea and were surrounded by trees, flowering plants and birds. We liked being a short walk downhill to the village of Castara with grocery shops, places to eat local food and entertainment. Bars on the beach were very friendly. We loved getting a boat to nearby coves and snorkelling. Paradise for us!"

The fairly stiff walk back from the village is fine as long as you don't rush. The Castara Retreats Restaurant serves lovely fresh fish caught locally but wine as you might expect is eye wateringly expensive. Try Stag beer instead and even that is twice as expensive as in the village.

"Borel is exception in my opinion, i have visited the property two times and enjoyed my stay each time. The location is perfect if you are looking for a place to rest, privacy, good security and comfort. Bonamousadi market is not far from the residence, very easy to get into the city if you want to."

From my experience, alot has improved. The internet speed is far better, reaction time for is very good, and the staffs are true human in their interaction with me. I think they have mastered the act of hospitality. I will visit again in my next trip.

The amenities listing was incorrect for kitchenware. There was only 2 cups which to us did not equate to kitchenware. We booked an apartment with a kitchenette due to my food intolerances and needing to self cater. We did get some by asking.

It should also be mentioned that there was a problem with the lock on the door leading out to the street, and it was often difficult to open from the outside. For the first three nights we were assigned an other apartment one floor below that was not up to standard at all. We were, however granted a discount for the inconvenience. We had not been informed about this beforehand. The television in the apartment did not work, and was not fixed during our stay. The apartment was on the eight floor and there was no sign for emergency exit on the floor. The owners lived in Italy and all contact with them was through the young lady representing them in Mindelo.

In jurul locatiei se aflau blocuri in constructie sau renovare si iti transmite o senzatie de neliniste sau de o siguranta scazuta. Am stat la etajul 7 (ultimul) dar hotelul nu cred ca a fost plin, astfel in camera era destul de cald, fara aer conditionat nu puteam dormi iar dimineata ne trezeam cu fata umflata cu toate ca am setat aerul pe cea mai mica treapta de ventilatie.
